About Us
May 15, 1991 The "Birth" of our Store (Formerly Vangie Eatery)
Since the common interest of our family is cooking and know a little baking, My mother and I was agreed to open for a meantime a small eatery, that was our agreement "for the meantime" before our dream is to have only our daily needs which is food, clothing, shelter and an amount to pay for our school tuition fees,, we are all the employees in our family business since we have only a 2,800.00 as a starting capital.
After one month of business operation, I discovered that a small eatery with a legal document such as Business permits, salaries to ourselves and with all the other fixed expensed (light, water, rental, etc) cannot sustained, I immediately proposed to my family a word of "WHAT IF" if we accept orders in "Siopao and bake products" since I'm only 22years old that time our mother always supportive in our plans (She's the one who always motivated, or we can say that in every failure we met on this matter, she's the one who stand behind us)
At first we used the telephone of our neighbor to accept orders from our customers, I'm just the one who was incharged in groceries I bought only a kilo of packed flour, sugars, and other ingredients needed in our siopao and baked products. My mother was incharged in fillings of our siopao she was also our chef cook in our mini eatery .My brother Manny was incharge in the selling area and my sister Elsa was assigned in the kitchen to assist our mother in cooking, I was assigned in the siopao making.Since my brother and my sister was a student that time, we only hired a male washer to help us in the dishes and the cleaning.
God is so good to us despite of financial hardship in our family God always provide a customers to us through "Word of Mouth" from the other customers, And i thank also for the one customer who help us to have our own phone (by that time telephone is not easy to acquire)
October 2000, since my siblings are all married and have their own children, I suggest to our mother to have a more focus in steamed buns manufacturing.
Until now our main products is in steamed buns such as Siopao, Puto, kutsinta and Palitaw. We also have baked products such as Empanada, Ensaymada, and some baked products. We have our Short Orders such as Pancit Guisado, Bijon Guisado, Pancit Canton, Sotanghon and the combination of Dinuguan w/ Puto.
